13th to 17th September, 2025

I will be running a painting holiday these dates. We start in the morning at 9 and finish around 2 to 3pm. The daily workshops will focus on oil painting, landscape and group feedback sessions.

Ithaca offers from expansive views over the sea and the islands, to woodlands and typical Greek streets with steps. We will explore different parts of the island and get to see from winding village streets, to farming country in the heart of the island.

Workshops:

Day 1: Choosing your view, simplifying, structure, expression. Evening discovery session ‘Line’.

Day 2: Drawing, observing, simplifying, painting. Swimming opportunity.

Day 3: Landscape and distance. Simplifying, expression. Evening discovery session ‘Artist’s Interpretation’.

Day 4: Building a painting up. Swimming opportunity.

Day 5: Quick oil sketches of urban landscapes.

During the discovery sessions, we will look and discuss the works of some artists like Cezanne, Matisse, Gaugin and many others.
